About Artwork

This piece was started in 2017 and took many transformations until its final release. I named it The Martyr to convey the concept of unhappiness. Despite the uneasy subject, the piece is meant to be humorous. The monkeys represent blame and egocentric identification. Their rings are watching and pointing. The pompousness of the details is contrasted with the Buddhist Samsara wheel sitting on top of the frame, and quietly reminding us about the silliness of our predicaments.

About Artwork

This is a 3d painting made using layers of non yellowing Art Resin on top of an oil painting. A combination of layered paint and glass gives it a depth and texture; foggy elements mixed with the sharp glass create a nice contrast.

This is a purely aesthetic piece I made to hone my anatomy skills. I wanted to capture the beauty and sensuality of the female form in a weightless motion.
