About Artwork

This piece was started in 2017 and took many transformations until its final release. I named it The Martyr to convey the concept of unhappiness. Despite the uneasy subject, the piece is meant to be humorous. The monkeys represent blame and egocentric identification. Their rings are watching and pointing. The pompousness of the details is contrasted with the Buddhist Samsara wheel sitting on top of the frame, and quietly reminding us about the silliness of our predicaments.

Priced to sell. I use the standard formula to price my work by width x height in inches.
